2024 Bazaar/Feast Recap
The 93rd Bazaar and 130th Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel: July 20 & 21, 2024
Our 130th anniversary celebration reached a high point last weekend at our 93rd Bazaar and 130th Festa della Madonna del Carmine. Old and new friends gathered on Saturday evening for the first night of the bazaar. Unfortunately, a sudden downpour forced us to cut the festivities short. Sunday began at 2:30pm with a special Mass in Italian, celebrated by the Servite Provincial, Father Eugene Smith. About 230 were in attendance. After Mass, everyone lined up for the procession, which featured a band, authentic Italian feast music and la Madonna del Carmine adorned with beautiful flowers. Participants proudly waved both Italian and American flags along the route, drawing the attention of passersby—even some who stepped out of their homes. What they saw was a genuine expression of Catholic-Italian devotion to our patron saint, Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
After, everyone enjoyed the second night of the bazaar. Despite rain in the forecast, we had beautiful weather to close out our 93rd Bazaar and 130th Feast. GRAZIE to all who contributed including our Bazaar Committee, volunteers, parishioners, and patrons. We look forward to 2025!
