Holy Communion
“Holy Communion is the shortest and safest way to heaven.”
— Pope Pius X
-
Children who were baptized as infants prepare for their First Holy Communion through the parish Religious Education program.
Preparation begins in the 1st grade. Children in the 2nd grade may begin receiving the sacrament of Confession. Children in the 3rd grade (or higher) may receive First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Due to The Restored Order in the Archdiocese of Denver, First Holy Communion and Confirmation are received at the same Mass.
Students must be baptized prior to entering this program.
Visit our Faith Formation page for more information.
-
A person already baptized either in the Catholic Church or a Christian denomination whose baptism is valid and desires to either receive First Holy Communion must attend the parish RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program.
Visit our RCIA page for more information.
-
Priests or properly certified lay people bring Communion to parishioners who reside in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or in their own homes and are unable to attend Mass.
If you know someone who would like to receive Communion, please call the Parish Office: 303-455-0447.
