Join us for a special Mass in honor Mother Cabrini. All are welcome.
The first canonized American saint, St Frances Xavier Cabrini, aka Mother Cabrini, has deep roots in Colorado. She came to Colorado in 1902 to minister to Colorado’s large Italian immigrant community. In Denver, Mother Cabrini established a convent and grade school at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She went on to build the Queen of Heaven Orphanage and the Cabrini Shrine on Lookout Mountain. For her contributions to Colorado, the state established the holiday Cabrini Day, celebrated annually on the first Monday in October.
