MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC

Sing to the mountains, sing to the sea. Raise your voices; lift your hearts. – Dufford. That is what the music program tries to emulate through all music making during services in and outside the church. Our volunteer ensembles need you and your love for music to keep it growing. Making music is an integral part of the Mass and Liturgy at Our lady of Mount Carmel.

We have an ever growing choir program which is open to anyone and everyone. Our choir is open from 4th grade students -adults, singing at the 9am Sunday Mass, but also participating in several other events throughout the year. We have fairly flexible schedules for our singers!

If you are interested in newer music or play an instrument, then join the Contemporary Ensemble that helps at the 11am Mass. Right now we have voice, piano, and guitar but always want to grow! This opens the door to newer music during the Mass and allows the congregation to also hear traditional hymns in a newer way.

We accept any voice, at any level, that would like to come and celebrate worship through music! Please fell free to contact Shaun Steavenson directly at voiceteach0518@gmail.com or come visit one of the ensembles on Sunday. Let us lift every voice and sing!
